Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking about the Thousand Brains Theory (TBT) and consciousness, and wanted to toss in some thoughts about psychedelics. Psychedelics might shake up our neural democracy in an interesting way. By temporarily weakening the confidence of cortical predictions and dissolving functional hierarchies, psychedelics might make our internal voting chaotic, but also more democratic. Hallucinations and synesthesia might result from increased chatter during voting. This is great @grob I’m still reading but noticed a strange sentence that might have been half finished.
